Progress Over Perfection: How I’m Staying Intentional Each Week
Helllooooo Again,
Let’s talk about something that’s been a game-changer for me these past few weeks: setting intentional weekly goals. Life gets so busy and sometimes flat out hard, let’s be real. I’ve found that taking just a little bit of time to plan out what I want to focus on each week helps me stay focused on what I want to accomplish and what matters. It’s been a small shift with a BIG impact!
I used to have this all-or-nothing mindset, literally, I can be pretty hard on myself sometimes — either I crushed all my goals, or I felt like I had failed and wanted to give 100000% all the time. But that kind of pressure isn’t sustainable nd is a form of self destruction. Now, I aim to complete at least 80-90% of what I set out to do each week. Why 80-90%? Because it gives me room to be human. Sometimes unexpected things come up in life. Sometimes I just need hit the breaks or slow down a bit. And that’s okay.
This new system has helped me stay more consistent while giving myself the grace I need. Whether it’s scheduling quiet time with God, planning content, eating healthy meals, or simply remembering to move my body — these weekly goals help me feel more purposeful, focused, and energized and just more accomplished overall.
The Power of Writing It Down
There’s something powerful about physically writing things down, millennial here, hehe (or even typing them into a digital planner). It turns “I hope I get to this” into “I’m committed to making this happen.” And the best part? You don’t need a fancy system. A sticky note or notes app works just fine, I prefer the Christian Planner, but that’s me (been using it for 5-6 years now)!!
Let’s Encourage Each Other
Now I want to hear from you!
Do you set goals for the week? How do you plan them out? What are your actions steps? What’s your biggest goal for June?
Maybe you’re working on building a business, prioritizing your mental health, being more present with family, or drinking more water (yes, that totally counts! ). Whatever it is, know that you don’t have to do it alone — I’m cheering you on.
